An early start with Fox 29.

We arrived early Friday for three live Fox 29 segments alongside Cody Walker. It was a great way to kick off our FuelFest New Jersey weekend before Saturday’s event.

We had the S650 SS-R and Justin Bauer’s S550 Super Snake with us. Showing up early for Fox 29 helped us get a prime spot for the X-Comp booth, right at the entrance to the drift area. The event coordinator told us attendance was roughly 15,000—about 5,000 more than last year.

Over 130 mph on entry.

Getting to use the full track meant entries over 130 mph. Insane. The crew was all smiles, and riders were coming back telling us it was the best experience of their life.

We drove the track from noon until about 7:15 PM, when it got dark. Bauer and I then moved into the drift box and kept going until 8 PM. We made the most of the day, and we plan to be back next year.

Next: the championship fight at Dominion.

Our next stop is Catch My Drift at Dominion Raceway in Woodford, Virginia, October 3–4. I’ll be in the S14 for Saturday’s competition, with Justin Bauer in his S550 and Ivan in our new fifth-generation Camaro.

I’m heading into the final round as the current series points leader, pushing to win that championship two years in a row!

On Sunday, I’ll switch to the Camaro to keep dialing in the chassis.
